Lighting:

🔆 Low to Moderate (PAR 30–100)

Blue Discosoma mushrooms thrive in shaded or low-light areas. Too much light may cause them to shrink or lose color.

Flow:

🌬️ Low

They prefer gentle water movement. Strong flow can cause them to detach and float around the tank.

Water Parameters:

  • Temp: 75–78°F

  • Salinity: 1.025

  • Alkalinity: 8–11 dKH

  • Calcium: 400–450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrate: 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate: 0.02–0.07 ppm

Placement:

📍 Low in the tank, on sandbed or shaded rock

They can spread quickly if happy, so give them room or isolate on separate rock.

Feeding:

🍽️ Mostly photosynthetic, but benefit from occasional target feeding (reef roids, powdered coral foods)

Can reproduce by splitting or spreading to nearby rock.
