Lighting:

🔆 High (PAR 250–400)

Bottle Brush Acros require intense lighting to maintain vibrant coloration and steady growth. Best under T5, LED, or metal halide.

Flow:

🌊 Strong, alternating flow

They thrive in high, turbulent flow zones that help keep detritus off and deliver nutrients evenly.

Water Parameters:

  • Temp: 75–78°F

  • Salinity: 1.025

  • Alkalinity: 8–9.5 dKH

  • Calcium: 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1300–1400 ppm

  • Nitrate: 1–5 ppm

  • Phosphate: 0.01–0.05 ppm

Placement:

📍 Top half of the tank on rockwork with lots of light and flow exposure. Ensure it’s not shadowed by other corals.

Feeding:

🧪 Mainly photosynthetic, but benefits from broadcast feeding (amino acids, reef roids, coral dust) a few times a week.

Growth Rate:

⚡ Moderate – Slower than simpler Acros, but very rewarding when stable.

Care Level:

⚠️ Advanced – Sensitive to parameter swings and low nutrients. Stability is key. Great for experienced SPS keepers.
