Lighting:

Rhodactus mushrooms thrive under subdued lighting. Too much light may cause them to shrink or bleach.

Flow:

🌊 Low to Moderate

Gentle flow helps prevent detritus buildup without irritating the soft tissue.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 75–78°F

  • Salinity: 1.024–1.026

  • Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH

  • Calcium: 400–450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrates: 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphates: 0.03–0.08 ppm

Placement:

📍 Bottom or lower rockwork

Place in shaded or indirect light areas. They can slowly migrate to a spot they prefer.

Feeding:

🍽️ Optional – absorbs nutrients from water

Can benefit from occasional target feeding with powdered coral foods or small meaty foods.
