Monkey sea squirt 3"

Monkey Sea Squirt · 3"

A golden-mouth sea squirt (Polycarpa aurata) with cream body, purple-brown veins and two orange siphons that look like a surprised monkey face.

You receive: The sea squirt pictured, about 3" tall, on its rock. Photographed under reef lighting; appearance varies with your lighting.

• Light: Low; it is not photosynthetic, so shade is fine
• Flow: Moderate indirect flow to carry food to its siphons
• Placement: Shaded bottom rock or rubble; best in a mature tank, fed phytoplankton and fine particulate foods daily. Avoid copper and do not keep with fish that pick at tunicates
• Space: About 3 inches, clear of corals and pump intakes
