Green Slimer (Acropora yongei) is a classic, fast-growing staghorn Acropora with neon green branches and long, fuzzy polyps. It is one of the hardiest Acros and a great first SPS: give it moderate to high light, strong random flow, and stable alkalinity, calcium and magnesium. It earns its name from the stringy slime it releases when handled, which is normal. Start it mid-tank, move it higher once it colors up, and leave room for its branches.
