Green star polyps are a hardy encrusting soft coral that spreads as a bright green mat of star-shaped polyps over rockwork, sand, or the back wall. They are fully photosynthetic and need no direct feeding. Give them moderate light and enough flow to keep the mat clean and the polyps extended, keep parameters stable, and give the colony its own space — it grows fast and can overgrow slower neighbors.

• Light: Moderate (about 80–150 PAR)
• Flow: Moderate to strong — keeps the mat clean and polyps extended
• Placement: Bottom to middle rockwork, back wall, or its own island rock
• Space: About 2 inches — it encrusts fast and can overgrow slow neighbors
